BALANCE · BEFORE YOU PARTICIPATE
A guide to conversion, the auction and the risks. Updated October 19, 2026.
What you are collecting
BALANCE is a conceptual artwork that can be divided and transferred. Your balance and its ink composition are reflected in an associated wallet-bound artwork. No financial return is promised. Holding BALANCE gives you no ownership in the artist’s business or entitlement to revenue, profits or liquidity-position fees.
A finished artwork
BALANCE is intended to launch as a finished conceptual artwork. Its defining rules are encoded in the deployed smart contracts. There is no roadmap or commitment to future features, upgrades or continued development. Any future work is optional and should not form the basis of a purchase.
This describes the scope of the artwork, not the completion of its launch. Required activation, auction settlement and liquidity migration steps remain part of the published launch process. Check the live status to see which steps have completed.
The website is an interface to the artwork. Continued website hosting, interface maintenance and third-party service availability are not guaranteed. Onchain records and website availability are separate; interacting without this website may require other tools and technical knowledge.
Before you participate
Only spend what you can afford to lose entirely. You may be unable to sell your BALANCE. Read the action shown in your wallet, check the network and contract address, and allow for gas costs. Never share your recovery phrase or private keys. A successful approval is permission for a later action; it does not itself complete a conversion or purchase.
Converting a Statement
A Statement’s rating determines how much BALANCE it releases, and its ink contributes to your Balance artwork. Conversion permanently locks the Statement. You cannot reverse this conversion or recover a Statement that has already released BALANCE. Use the conversion interface: sending a Statement directly to the contract does not release BALANCE and may leave it inaccessible. Credits must first be composed into Statements in groups of 80.
Taking part in the auction
Bidding and claims take place on Uniswap. Your bid sets a budget and a maximum price per BALANCE. Tokens are allocated over time under the auction rules; you may receive less than expected or nothing. Your maximum price is not necessarily the price you pay. Do not assume you can cancel a bid at any time. After the auction, follow the claim and refund steps on Uniswap to receive any allocation and recover eligible unspent funds. These actions may require further transactions and gas.
Where the supply comes from
The current plan is 53,750,000 BALANCE after creator retirement. The creator contributes 1%: 268,750 BALANCE for the auction and 268,750 reserved for opening liquidity. These come from converted artwork within the total, not an additional mint. The other 99% is outside this allocation and includes existing artwork conversion rights. It is not all circulating at launch. Existing holders can convert their artwork and sell; auction buyers can also resell.
The price can fall
Existing Credits and Statements represent additional convertible supply beyond the auction. Once conversion and trading open, holders can sell into the pool funded by auction proceeds. The market price may fall substantially below your purchase price, including to zero. There is no guaranteed buyer, resale price, buyback or financial return. NFT listing prices and conversion comparisons are estimates, not guaranteed opportunities to buy or sell.
What locked liquidity means
The planned opening liquidity position is permanently locked. This prevents withdrawal of that position through its intended lock mechanism. It does not prevent sellers receiving the pool’s ETH through swaps, and it does not protect the token price. The planned pool swap fee is 0.3%. Holding BALANCE does not entitle you to those fees. Other pools may have different fees and conditions.
When actions become available
Check the published auction schedule and the live status before acting. Block-based times are estimates. Conversion, transfers, claims and liquidity migration have different conditions; one becoming available does not mean all the others are ready. Migration into the pool requires a separate successful transaction. Transfers opening does not guarantee that the pool has been funded or that trading is available.
Experimental software
The software and smart contracts are experimental. Bugs, exploits, configuration errors, wallet problems or failures in connected services could cause irreversible loss of tokens, artwork or funds. Testing and audits do not guarantee safety. Transactions may be irreversible and recovery may be impossible. Do not assume losses will be reimbursed.
Bots, slippage and transaction costs
Other users and bots may trade before you, including immediately when transfers open or liquidity is added. Prices can move between viewing a quote and executing a transaction. Slippage, transaction ordering and congestion can affect what you receive. Transactions can fail and still cost gas. There is no guarantee of equal transaction ordering or protection from manipulation.
Your wallet and artwork
BALANCE can move between wallets once transfers are enabled. The associated ERC-721 artwork stays bound to its wallet and updates with that wallet’s BALANCE activity; it does not travel with the transferred BALANCE. Artwork displays and metadata may round values or update later than the chain. Check the token balance for exact amounts. Disconnecting a website does not revoke existing token approvals.
Third-party services
Uniswap, wallets, marketplaces and other services have their own terms and risks. Links or listings do not mean endorsement or legal approval. Unofficial premarket tokens, wrappers and third-party redemption schemes are separate projects; their promises are not promises made by BALANCE. Verify links and contract addresses independently before connecting or signing.
Access restrictions
Do not use this interface if applicable sanctions prohibit your participation, including if you act for a prohibited person. Location and wallet checks may restrict access. Do not circumvent these restrictions. A successful automated check is not a determination of your legal eligibility.
Data, privacy and taxes
Read our privacy policy for information about connection data, wallet screening and browser storage. Onchain balances and transactions are public. Website figures may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable, even when they refresh frequently. Wallet and infrastructure providers may receive information about your connection and requests. Collecting, converting, bidding and selling may have tax consequences. Seek advice appropriate to your circumstances if you are unsure.
